Upon successful login, a secure authentication token (JWT) is generated and stored locally on your device to keep you signed in. This token does not contain sensitive personal information.
What We Do NOT Collect: We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, location, microphone, call logs, SMS messages, or any other data beyond what is described above.

We use your information strictly for the following purposes:
- Account Management: To create, authenticate, and maintain your account.
- Ledger Functionality: To enable you to add, edit, view, and delete customer records and credit transactions.
- Dashboard Insights: To display a summary of your credit and transaction data on the dashboard.
- WhatsApp Reminders: To facilitate sending payment reminders to your customers via WhatsApp (initiated only by you).
- App Security: To authenticate your identity and maintain secure access to your data.
No Advertising: We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes. Your ledger data is never used to serve ads or sold to advertisers.
4. Data Storage & Security
4.1 Where Your Data Is Stored
Your account, customer, and transaction data is stored securely on our backend servers. Authentication tokens and session preferences are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences.
4.2 Security Measures
We implement the following security measures to protect your data:
- Encrypted Communication: All data transmitted between the app and our servers uses secure network protocols.
- Token-Based Authentication: We use JWT (JSON Web Token) authentication to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
- Password Protection: Your security key is hashed and encrypted before being stored on our servers. We never store plaintext passwords.
- Access Control: Your ledger data is only accessible through your authenticated session. Other users cannot access your records.
4.3 Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you wish to have your data deleted, you may contact us (see the Contact Us section below), and we will remove your data from our servers within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We value your privacy and are committed to keeping your data confidential. We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

WhatsApp Integration: When you choose to send a payment reminder, the app initiates a WhatsApp message using the customer's phone number. This action is performed through WhatsApp's standard sharing mechanism and is initiated solely by you. We do not access or store any WhatsApp data.

UdharTrack requests only the minimum permissions required for its core functionality:

- Correction: You can edit and update your customer records and transaction data directly within the app.

8. Children's Privacy
UdharTrack is designed for use by shopkeepers and business owners and is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
